Day one was all about airports and airplanes. Two hours to LAX, wait 5 hours. Eleven hours to Tokyo. It was so beautiful from the air I wanted to stay, but once on the ground I only  saw the inside of the airport. Three hours and then a brand new airplane with eminently polite Japanese flight attendants. Five hours spent mostly sleeping and I landed in Hanoi. The rest of my group arrived 90 minutes later and we were mini bussed through the darkness to our hotel to collapse and recover from our jet lag.

My Journey to Vietnam and Cambodia

I leave in a few hours to a place I never thought I'd see. I was in collage during the Vietnam War and Vietnam was a scary place. That was years ago in a different world. On this blog I hope to record a new perspective. I hope you will enjoy coming along for the ride.
